When my kids dress up as zombies we just use old clothes and fray the sleeves and bottoms of t-shirts . For make-up we put circles around their eyes, use something to make them look pale and use flour or similar to make their hair greyish. We have also used rice paper before to make zombie skin that they can pull off and eat. (if you make it damp you can mould it onto your own skin quite well and colour it with food colouring) Be easy to do all this on one side if you wanted - Have fun dressing them up :)
Easy !!! Dress them in clothes you don't care about ruining !!!!
Then put tears and rips on only one half ! Rub some dirt here and there on the same side , grab some leaves and glue a few of them to the pants. For make up , against do only half their face , of course , the same side as ripped clothes. Use gray eye shadow to create the look of sunken cheekbones , also add a little to the temple area. Use gray and purple eye shadow around the eye. You didn't mention the age of your kids , but if they want more gore , like in fake blood..drip some from zombie side of mouth , to splatter it on their clothes take a tooth brush and dip the bristles in the blood , then run your finger over the edges of the bristles to spray the blood on zombie side of face and clothes. I recommend you practice the spray method on something BEFORE trying it on your child. That way you don't mess up their make up or costume. It is easy to do , but you need to see how it " sprays " so you can control it to stay on only one side. Have fun !!!
***PLEASE NOTE : Depending on where you live , always dress the kids so the will be comfortable, temperature wise. That way you don't have to cover up the costume, layer up under their costume !!!
