Hi Michal. I saw them make the candles here one hometalk. It is a battery operated tealight on the top.
Using moving boxes, make a casket and paint. Put a light inside under dark fabric that is thin enough to let the light shine through. Add fake spider webbing to accent and prop the lid open just enough for effect. Voila! You can also stuff and old shirt sleeve to hang out of the opening.
Oh! Forgot one thing. When putting the box pieces together, I used duct tape on what would be the inside. A lot of it. I painted the inside and made a hole for the cord to a black light since it wasn’t going to be empty. Mine was large enough to fit my 7-year -old and sturdy enough for her move around and not break it. Scared a lot of kids that year! We always made our own ‘haunted house’ and the kids were more interested in manning that than trick-or-treating.
BIU🙂
One year I did this inside my l.r. which the kids see when they come up on the porch. Our town has a contest for outside decorations and people come up with very creative things, but they aren't necessarily scary. Bottom picture is what I have this year. I will rearrange so kids can see better. And light some candles! My DD lives near Sleepy Hollow and one Halloween we went there. I loved it! Ghosts dancing in a graveyard, the headless horseman riding by. . . it was great!
