How to build a cat patio?

This is an outside enclosure for cats. Protects birds from cats and cats from coyotes. How would I attach it to my house? What type of screening is best? Do I need to extend the walls below dirt level? Is it best to have a cement floor or dirt and plants?

Do not know what the structure looks like, but would attach the back wall directly to the house. You may have to use 4x4 legs added to the bottom to aline it to a cat/doggy door. Screen would be great for walls and make sure you have a roof which is waterproof, you can get clear corrugated roof panels at home Depot orlowes

Aluminum screen is not as pretty but far more difficult to shred of your cats have their claws

Don't know if this will help but I purchased 2 of the chain link dog enclosures minus the fencing to use the frames.I used a heavy gage wire fencing from Home depot instead as I was afraid the smaller cats might try to stick their head thru the chainlinkMy structures are butted up against my sliding glass doors and house at the cage opening.I have 2 catios.I used 2x4s to close up any gaps near the doors.I cannot use my sliding glass doors to access my decks but my cats are very happy so it works for us.

I used chicken wire. mine was 42 ft x 36 ft

I put 2x4s against the house and attached the chicken wire to that.

I bolted the 2 by 4 to the house and the rest of the frame isn't bolted to anything. The roof is on a slant so all rain flows off. There's wire on the top and the two open sides and a dog door for them and a side door for me to get in and clean up the litter and rocks where the dog goes. My animals love hanging out there on the shelf I put up and they are safe.
