My angel was broke and i have used a star for the past 4 years.

But i felt i needed a angel not one from a shop one from the coast.

I clean it so much i find plastick lids mostly,

but sometimes i get gifted limid shells "must laugh. Found lots.

A odd candle stick unused.

And a flower head i used for her wings as shown below.

I got my shells an sorted them into sizes

Using the bigger shells first

i used a plate to give a bit of height to hot glue the first shells around the candle stick.

Starting from the bottem working up,

Trying for a ruffled look..

or i was trying to get that look

Once i started i just kept close to each shell useing hot glue going round an round till i met the one I started with.

And then I'd just repeat trying to use smaller shells as i made my way to the top staggering them giving a full look like so.

I just carried on going around making sure i could't see the candle stick

When i reached the top i staggered them in the oppisate direction

To make a more fuller look an still trying for a ruffled look

For her neak line.

Below the flower head I use as her wings

Now the leaf comes in handy.. Undo the leafs so you only have single ones

I use these for my wings useing two leafs per wing.

one white, one sliver using the wire provided just tie them together

Once i reached the top ..

I made the head with 6 white round shells

Wanting her to look as if she was looking down.

I needed a halo ...

Angels have halos right.

one sliver leaf i had left.

Soi just cut the middle out.

This aint perfect but it was good enough. (i never thought about her halo)

Then i hot glued my wings on and used the berrys out of the flower

For my angels flower's that she is holding.

I hot glued her halo on

All finised

She looks like a angel now

my christmas angel.

Reminds me of making angels at school an my mam placeing it on top of our tree at christmas i'd be chuffed as a child thinking i made that.

Now she is a bit heavy so she cant stand on my tree ...

But she stands proud beside it. So she can become my angel ornament.

Thank you
