How can I make fake snow?

My holiday front yard has cute reindeer. I have rocks and weeds but I want to color them white to look like snow. What can I use to color them? Help?

Sawdust and white paint make a pretty good looking fake snow. your local lumber yard has tons of sawdust that they will probably be have to have you take for free. -

Shreaded bars of Ivory soap. They will last for the season and when the rain comes it will wash the soap into the ground. -
