I have seen it made with a large stretchy tube sock filled with rice and knotted at the end of it. Then you can microwave it. I can't think of an easier way. HA. There are many ways to do it actually if you get crafty with your sewing machine. Some add essential oils to make it smell nice.

Hi Elo, I thought you were joking with this one, and even thought it might be dangerous to make such a heating pad, but no, here we are - simple ways to do this on a dime.

cut 2 pcs of fabric 11"X11"...cut 2 pcs of 100%cotton batting 11"X11", & place on the back of your fabric. Sew from corner to corner making a "X" in the center. Then fold in half & measure 2.5" (on the fold) by 1" (making a dart)...cut off access, & repeat on the other the side. Then fold it in half the other way & sew the same...set aside & do the same on remaining pc. Place right side to right side & sew all the way around, leaving an opening for your hand & turn it right side out. Then tuck in the opening & sew all the way around. Enjoy...
