Tin snips
Hi Tina! A hardware or home improvement store will be able to guide you to tin snips (work like scissors, only much stronger) to cut tin.
Tin snips are sometimes difficult but only thing there is. Be sure to wear heavy gloves too because newly cut tin is sharp and one slip can cause a nasty gash in your hand.
