I would take a small sample and see if when you dampen it, and smooth it on the wall, if the creases will disappear.
Adhesive wall paper is like contact paper, it sticks to everything. You need to apply from the top down. Pull the baking down as you go, and smooth with a rag as you go. I don't think you can roll it, that is why you have lines, with wrinkles.
If you smooth it out as you apply it and work out any air bubbles, it should be fine--- no wrinkles. Make sure that no air gets underneath.
GO TO PROJECTS ON THIS WEBSITE AND A WOMAN SHOWS THAT SHE ELIMINATED AOLL BUBBLES AND WRINKLES BY SPRAYING A LOT OF WINDEX SPORAY TO THE WALL FIRST WHICH MADE IT FREE OF THESE AND WAS EASY TO REPOSITION. AFTER IT DRIED EVERYTHING LOOKS AS SMOOTH AS THE REAL SUBWAY TILES..
Needed a professional to teach me how to easily solve! She used a syringe with small diameter needle - slide and into "bubbled" area and suck air out. Nothing more needed other than smoothing out with hand.
I got a syringe from my MD 40 years ago and still using on wallpaper and contac paper.
Is this a dry adhesive on the back of the paper or like contact paper? If its dry try ironing or use a hot hair dryer on the creases before you apply.
If its like contact paper, I use a rubber squeegee.... https://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-95012-Flexible-Smoothing-assorted/dp/B000RXC63O/ref=pd_rhf_se_4?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B000RXC63O&pd_rd_r=ZKG6D6MPTZ2BYJT7TSRH&pd_rd_w=pg2zY&pd_rd_wg=T8QXq&psc=1&refRID=ZKG6D6MPTZ2BYJT7TSRH
