Crafters, I need advice and tips to do this... What kind of glue should I use to place shells and other decorations on window glass??? Help!

I personally like to use silicone adhesive. You can get it at almost any store that sells hardware type items. I use it to adhere glass pieces together for glass totems and when I glue glass or stone on bowling balls for garden spheres.........

Try Welbond. It is non-toxic,dries clear and is waterproof

I would not attach it to my window. you could never clean it and you mite get tired of it down the road and it would be impossible to remove. I would cut some plastic the size of my window and with 600 glue attach the pieces . Then put velcro dots in each cornor and then it would be ease to remove and wash.

If you spray the glass with opalescent paint (or any paint), you can use normal liquid silicon glue. Painting borders of a mirror with wall paint, for example, will prepare the surface to adhere the silicon and shells.

I would do this with liquid glass that you can buy at a craft store. It is very easy to use

Many stores (and online) sell window film/clings and they come in a variety of patterns plus they are already decorated. Just apply water to backside of the film and apply light pressure to smooth out air bubbles. I have a glass storm door and applied a frosted film to it creating privacy. Walmart online has MANY different patterns to choose from.

I have seen these as window clings ...I saw them at Home Depot...if you are planning to resell the house eventually I would not use anything permanent..you can always use lace cut to size and adhere it with cornstarch mixed with water

I would use E 6000. I use it on all my window projects. It is flexible and can withstand cold and heat.
