How do I decorate behind my bed without a headboard?

I love the idea of taking a piece of sheet foam, covering with batting and fabric, then hanging on the wall where a headboard would go.
Irene...We have a huge framed picture behind and above a bed w/o the headboard and it looks pretty much like a headboard. Might check antiques stores or yard sales...can possibly pick one up for a small cost. Good luck

You can also buy removeable peel and stick decorations or wallpaper (easy to change and great if you live in an apartment where you are not able to paint.) So many choices out there. https://www.wallpops.com is just ONE of many places to look for something that will suit your taste and budget.
I bought a used wooden headboard at St Vincent's resale and mounted it to the wall behind the bed. It appears to be part of the bed while being mounted securely to the wall.
