Ceiling first - then Woodwork - finally Walls.........
So many things go into decorating an apartment/studio. How many windows do you have? Do you have a Murphy Bed? Can you divide the room with a piece of furniture? How big is your studio? Do you have room for a small table with flaps? Are you on the first floor? Do you have a slider? You can hang pictures, put things on the wall in the kitchen, a small clock, hang pot holders, as small picture. You'll need a very narrow garbage can, I have a small space between the side cabinet, and the back door. I purchased this at Bed,Bath, and Beyond, there's no name on it . I would give you the name.if I had it. You'll have to move things around to see what works. I'm sure you can fix it up real nice. Good Luck!
Is the studio just one big room or do you have a kitchen separate. Lets go with one room.
Lets address your sleeping area. Designate one corner and divide it off so you have a private area then if you have a large closet use it for your clothes and a small dresser. As for decorating and color. Use mirrors it will help open up space and make it look much larger. Then use colors to either bring in green space area or sky. Let your own style come thru your color scheme. Use shelves to do double duty.. For eating, computer area and so forth.... Good luck
I think I posted this pic already on Home Talk. It is a young woman's NY studio apt. Definitely done on a budget!
