I'm also in an older villa with full mirrors. BE CAREFUL! These are generally glued securely, sometimes directly to board! I plan to cover mine with reclaimed wood looking vinyl contact 3D paper.Helpful Reply -

use masking tape over the entire mirror in a cross hatch pattern, break the mirror, it's ok, no bad luck when it comes to updating a look, wear protective eye wear, cover the floor with a drop cloth, not a fun job but kudos to you for perseveringHelpful Reply -
