How do I secure a large copper tray to the wall, (40” across, 35lbs)

Here is a picture of The tray, we plan to put it on the mantle of the fireplace, but need an idea on how to secure to the wall so it doesn’t fall over. We live in San Francisco where there are earthquakes so it’s particularly important.

My suggestion would be to find your studs and hopefully they will be where you need them to hang this easily.

I have been known to hang an item securely (for earthquake purposes), then arrange furniture around it. A bit trickier when hanging above a fireplace mantle, but it can be done.
