You can buy A/D plywood at Lowes or Home Depot. A/D has a good side and a not so good side so it's a little cheaper. Go with 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and it will be cheaper. You can have the store cut it into the width you'd like, 4" or 6" or whatever you prefer. Use a quarter or something as a spacer when you install it on your wall for an authentic look. You can also go to You Tube and check out a few videos on how to do it. Good luck!
