How to hang a cuckoo clock?

I have a very old German cuckoo clock with only a 1/4 inch hole in the back to hang it from. I have had it on a nail, but it keeps slipping and I'm afraid it will fall off - any other suggestions? - thanks

Hi Jeanette,
Have you thought about Command strips?
Be sure to get the proper strength ones for the weight of the clock.

My dad hung the one in their home, and I know he placed it where there was a stud to hang securely. Never came off the wall in any of the earthquakes it has been through.
If you can't find a stud use a wall anchor and a screw. The head of the screw will prevent it from slipping off.
