How to hang a large heavy driftwood piece?




Have a driftwood piece that I have cleaned and dried but not finished. Weighs approx 25 lbs.

Here are a couple of ideas. I had to show you this picture because I couldn't figure out how to describe it. Personally I like the way the one on the bottom is done the most (minus the jewelry).
Looks like they drilled and attached rope? Was thinking more along lines of flush to wall with couple of D hooks

Buy a kit in the hardware department made for hanging large pictures or mirrors. Find those studs and mark the wall with chalk. Use every piece you are supposed to—they each have a job in stabilizing the driftwood and the wall. And this art will be naturally unique and personally styled by you. Best wishes!
Use screw in wall anchors to handle the weight. From cup hooks to coat hooks and plant hangers, you have numerous hook options to cradle or hold long, straight or curvy driftwood on the wall. Place two or more hooks cup hooks where you need them, according to the shape and size of your wood. Attach the D hooks to the cup hooks. Screw decorative hooks into wall studs for durability or use wall anchors.

get yourself stud finder(cheap at hardware store) to hang on studs in wall or some molly bolts then tie rope or put chain on drift wood attach to molly bolts or you could get really long Ibolts to go thru driftwood then add rope or chain then hang from 2 molly bolts. video for help https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SSJaO3gVPE (4th one molly bolt)
