get some contact paper or privacy film that looks like stained glass, but is easily removed.
Here's a video that uses trim to create faux panels to get you thinking about ideas. Also ask the the associates at your local building store for tips, caulk and paint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx-pV3TsJSM
Find a long over-the-door wreath hanger, and put up grapevine wreaths that you have decorated for each season.

I love contact paper on doors! I also think some gold trimming would look pretty on a clean white.
You nailed it! Yes! Thanks! I will be trying to buy one of the Larsen stencils! Now I'm anxious to get working on this door!
The easiest thing to do is add decoration such as a wreath or the new thing for spring is to hang a vintage umbrella that is stuffed at the bottom and holds flowers at the top. The advantage is that it does not affect the door at all and it is changeable at the drop of a hat. Add a plant in a coordinating pot or a decorative doormat to expand the impact.
Since the marks are already on the door, you could use some decorative tape over those lines. Duck tape comes in various widths and some are very pretty.
you need a mirrored window....it will reflect and sparkle and balance out that top arch....
