Time to go thrifting! This is my go-to place for finding lamps at affordable prices. Or, do you have some lamps that you could repurpose/paint? If I don’t find what I’m looking for, and I need them immediately, TJ Maxx or HomeGoods has some beautiful lamps at affordable prices.

    What is your decorating style?

  • Target has some nice choices as well.

Hi Sharon, What it all boils down to is your personal taste in decor. Perhaps you could re-imagine your old lamps. I make and re purpose lighting and have created over 40 table, floor, sconce and chandeliers. Maybe if you post a picture, I could help you redo yours! If re-purposing isn't your thing, here's a link to some very nice ideas: https://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=Living%20room%20lamps&rs=typed&term_meta[]=Living%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=room%7Ctyped&term_meta[]=lamps%7Ctyped

  • What is your style? I saw some at both Pottery Barn and Crate and Barrel, but would never pay the price. When I look for something, I Google, take a look see, then make the rounds of Home Goods, Ross, Marshalls, Steinmart, T J Maxx (separate stores here in CA), and see what I can find that is close to or better than the fancy expensive ones. Sometimes even Walmart, Target or Kmart might have something. Home Depot, Lowes and other home improvement and hardware stores also carry lower cost lighting options.

I bought spray paint meant for metal. Cleaned the lamp and gave it two coats. I even did the cord. Found a new shade on clearance.
