What color/tpye of cabinet pulls for 80's oak cabinets

My 80's oak cabinets are in great shape. The antique brass hardware pulls and knobs need to be replaced. I have a stainless steel, new refrigerator and an older black stove and dishwasher. The counters are "80's almond Formica". The light fixtures are newer with sort of antique brass colored metal. Thanks for suggestions.

Have same cabs - also in great shape. The pulls are antique brass and oak. They still sell them!!!!! Am also interested in what people have to say.

I would go with the antique brass colored metal since that seems to be the dominant color playing in the kitchen. You can mix and match the metals should you choose.

How about spray painting them with Rustoleum's hammered spray paint? There are several colors such as rubbed bronze, brushed nickel (I think still), and so forth. Some just spray painting your knobs can give them a real updated look. If you really want to jazz the cabinets up, I would go to Hobby Lobby (or go online if one is not near you) they have some really cool antique looking knobs and handles and when they have their 50% off sales it can save you some money. I spray painted some free handles I got and they look great. If you really like the antique brass, then I would lean towards that but if you want a change I would spray paint the light fixtures and the handles a cool new color. Just my thoughts-

Depending on your taste and style, several colors could work for your cabinets. Black iron would be nice, so would brushed bronze or even nickel. You should look into making a statement with your hardware so it stands out from the grain of the oak. I added a link to the Berenson website.
