What type of screws should I use to secure crown molding to dry wall?
The basic sitting area is there already but it needs a crown molding to hold hats and I want it to make an architectural statement so adding a thick looking crown molding would be a great look and also be used as a shelf for hats.
I will then paint it white and have my mud room look marvelous!

are you talking about crown moulding at the ceiling? or a picture rail on the wall....
