I grew up in the Appalachian mountains in Kentucky...14 children, grandma & grandpa, mom and dad....everyone always lost something somewhere on the farm. We were always playing find so and so's thing a ma jig. winner always got fresh baked cookies for everyone. It saddens me to see children staring at some screen on some electronic device. We never had money...always bartered everything, but we had more fun than most modern families....had a holiday dinner at my house last year...my great grandchildren---11 and 13 sat across from each other....caught them texting each other on what food to pass. now when they visit, first thing I do is confiscate any electronic device they bring...get them outside and busy on the farm---always with a lot of laughter---like picking apples while hanging upside down...shellng peas blindfolded
