Providing the floor is level,yes
You possibly could, but I would be more concerned about the elevation change from the room, how to make a smooth transition to avoid a tripping hazzard. My tile guys rip out tile on slabs all the time, it can be done but carefully. And it makes a huge mess too.
I don't know that I would do tile over tile.... but there are some new laminates out there now that are made for bathrooms and kitchens... and might be worth the cost in such a small room
I had the exact same thing in my living room and also was replacing it with wood look tile..i asked my tile guy if I could just put the new tile over it and he said he would never do that because the top layer would be uneven and may separate while settling.... it was hard work to remove it and even harder work to buff out the glue under it with a diamond sander but well worth it.
You have other options. Look into floating a wood laminate over the tile.
