Can you pull up carpet and stain the concrete underneath?

Heres the deal, its in the master bedroom ( berber) and would meet tile in the bathroom and hardwood to door (exit). The carpet is ruined from pets and to have it replaced with hardwood is so expensive! I pulled up a section of the worst and the concrete is clean and dry. Help!

The concrete beneath your carpet can be stained or even painted. Word of warning though, the entire concrete area may not look as nice as the spot you just looked at. You will need to fill the holes left by the tackless strip where your carpet was stretch to immediately next to the room's walls. As long as you are happy with the result there is nothing says you cannot remove carpeting and paint or stain concrete. -
