Have old parquet floors. What can I do to make them look like new?

Most areas still look good, but by the doors especially are quite worn and scuffed.  I want them all to look like new.  Thank you.

havd them sanded and refinished. Stain them if you want a different look.

Parquet floors are made of small pieces of wood which makes sanding and staining them much harder....and if they are very worn.. they may not be refinish-able.... you may want to have a floor refinisher do the job.... HomeAdvisor.com or Angieslist.com can give you verified referrals .. get several estimates... they will be able to tell you if the floors can be refinished or need to be replaced.
