How can I change the stain color of hardwood with minwax polyshades?




My floor is in great shape but just want to use polyshades to change the golden oak color to expresso polyshades

You will probably need to sand the floors and you want to be sure anything you use on them is recommended for floors. I'm not sure polyshades is.
Minwax Polyshades is not recommended for floors by Minwax. This is their answer: PolyShades® is not recommended for use on floors. Instead, stain with Minwax® Wood Finish™ and topcoat with Minwax® Super Fast-Drying Polyurethane for Floors or Minwax® Fast-Drying Polyurethane.

You need to lightly sand the floor then stain like you want the color then poly when done
