How to repair deep scratch in DURALUX VINYL PLANKING?
We put down 2000 sq feet of Duralux vinyl plank prior to moving into our home in May. When the old frig was removed, it got to the front door and came off the moving men feet. OMG!! Duralux said we voided warranty because nothing heavy was to be put on the floor and moved. We found this flooring to be very easily scratched nonetheless and it wasn't cheap. We have extra planking, but in order to redo it (we had it installed diagonally), about 100 sq feet must be replaced (by taking out the old planking). Any ideas on how to remove or cover scratches in vinyl planking would be greatly appreciated. We tried an old fashioned pink eraser which did remove dirt from the scratch and a Mr Clean sponge. Didn't do anything to the scratch though.

Rub it with a walnut.
Maybe use a wax crayon made for furniture scratches. It won't last forever but it might fill it in.
Try rubbing over scratch edges with a smooth rounded with rounded end wooden stick or dowel piece., Akin to an art stomp. Gently rub & press back down the edges of the scratch. Look at the scratch with a large magnifying glass & you will be able to see the minute raised edges. Try to push them together & close up the scratch with the gentle rubbing, rounding & straight motions. You will be able to watch & monitor your repair progress & process with the magnifier. When you have closed the scratch back up as much as you can, a magic marker or crayon may help disguise any color on scratch edges that need a little help. Then, seal with a good acrylic like very thin line of clear nail polish or perhaps some floor paste wax & buff out.
