I have ceilings that are 8' tall with the standard smooth and some stippled sheetrock...but I love some of the things being used on ceilings these days.What is your stye?Farmhouse? Pallet wood slighly saded, palletwood natural with some boards tinted, shiplap, rusty tin corrugated, bright corrugated tin, beadboard, random plank lengths and widths, ceiling decorative tin tiles, vinyl tin-style tiles that can be painted...the sky is the limit.Sophisticated? Beams are big now...painted or natural (foam beams are big), all sorts of moldings...and corner pieces that eliminate the need to miter as it allows for straight edge to straight edge installation (these can be used at ceiling (point down) and baseboard corners (point up); cofferred.
