Wrinkle in Carpet
My living room wall-to-wall carpeting has developed a wrinkle about 3 ft. long. Any DIY suggestions as to how to stretch carpet to remove the wrinkle?

Tile backsplash when there is existing countertop backsplash

Spritz with warm water and pull as best as possible. Place items that are heavy to hold in place.
I tried putting heavy (40, maybe 50 pounds) objects on it and left it for a couple of weeks. Didn't do much, if anything. BUT, I haven't tried the warm water method, so I'll give it a try. Someone told me steam cleaning it will help it...maybe even remove it, so I'll try that, too, if your method doesn't work. Thanks for your suggestion!
Your carpet may not have been stretched enough when it was installed. It may need to be restretched or 'kicked' again. Here's a link explaining it.

You could try to restretch it. I need to do this with the carpeting in my home. This article explains how to do it: https://www.thisoldhouse.com/flooring/22379917/how-to-stretch-carpet
It probably need to be restretched against the wrinkle.
Hello we had carpet installers come restreched the carpet. They removed a surprising amount of excess carpet and the wrinkle was removed.
Bring the carpet installers back and show them the wrinkle, have them re-stretch the carpet.
Rent a knee kicker (what installers used to use) and stretch the carpet until the wrinkle is gone.
They are hard on the knees but there also rent carpet stretchers that don't involve destroying your knee cap.
I had that same problem and it had to be re-stretched. We decided to let a carpet installer do it, because it is very hard on the knees.
