Dying vinca next to healthy plant.
How come some of my annual vincas are dying?

Every year I plant a big beautiful border of vinca. By July they are usually big and full of flowers. This year about 25% of the plants, about 20 in total, are dying. I do the same thing every year so nothing different this year. Does anyone recognize what this could be based on the leave color and wilting?

Doing this every year...at the same place? Have you tried fertilizer or compost to refresh the soil? How much rain have you had?
DFM - Fertilize every year. Have not amended the soil with compost or other. Was actually thinking about doing that. No rain and been around 90 degrees every day since planting. I am doing an even watering morning and night to not over saturate the soil. It is moist and wet without being over watered. Mary, have considered fungus but this is very random across plants instead of the plants dying in particular areas.
How to get rid of a mole. Can find where it start but don't know where to locate to put a trap
Your soil may have become depleted from repeated planting of vinca in same place. I'd try digging in well composted cow manure and sphagnum peat moss. Add some vermiculite to help retain moisture, given your excessive temps.
