Looking for orange and black poppy

I had an orange and black poppy, my mom gave it to me years ago. Mom has since passed away. It was my treasure, last fall it just looked bad. I am hoping it comes back this year, and no has not. Does anyone know where I can get a orange and black poppy? Everywhere I go they say they only have the multicolored one.

I would look at seed companies on line to see if they carry what you are looking for.

I think Janet is correct. Try google and type in the colors you are seeking and see what comes up. My neighbor had one, but when she sold her house the new people dug up everything and tossed it all! Good luck!

You might try looking here: http://www.seedman.com/poppy.htm They are in the USA. I'm not certain what you are looking for but the 13th image down is an orange scarlet with black center. They have many, many different varieties. Good luck with your search.

Not sure if same policy as here in Canada, but you may have a hard time because that poppy is so close in colour to the opium poppy which our government has "outlawed" because of drug content, bwahahhahaha. I do hope you can find them though. The seed idea is great but works best if flung out mixed with sand asap in spring.

I have any over abundance of them. They are blooming right now. I would be happy to share the seeds or if you want to make a long road trip, as I'm in Missouri, you could have several plants.

you are looking for an ORIENTAL POPPY...........they are bigger, grow kind of wild looking, will reseed,and can become a nuisance..............good luck
