Sweet potato vine: leaves start turning brown and dying!

Every time my plant looks like it's doing great, the leaves start turning brown and dying. Does this plant require special care as a houseplant?

I wish you the best in solving this problem with your potato vine. Every year I think about planting them in my window box, then when I go shopping in our local nurseries for flowers I forget all about them ARGH!
