What causes the rot in the bottom of Tomatoes?

That's bloom rot. The plants need more calcium. Add egg shells into your soil. ( make sure they are washed first)

I planted them in compost, and there are eggshells in that. Not enough?
They are getting to much water. Tomatoes do not like being to wet.
