Zinnias would be great, they flower from early spring through fall, and they are self seeding year after year. -

Some plants I have in my all afternoon sun garden ~ Daylily, Marigold, Catmint, Shasta Daisy, Liatris, Red Hot Poker, Iris, Lantana, Bee Balm, Sedum, Love-lies-bleeding, Cosmos, Rosemary, Alyssum, Roses, Geraniums, Statice, Yarrow, Snow in Summer, Lambs Ear, Coreopsis, Sunflowers, Lavender, Catnip, Gaura, Buddleia, Chives, Society garlic , hollyhock, calendula, asparagus fern, African Daisy, Lemon Verbena, Cranesbill, Blue Potato Bush, Mallow, Rose of Sharon, Pittosporum...just to name a few ♥ Have fun! BTW, I'm in zone 9
