Spring bulbs should be planted in the fall
Unless your in the deep South like me, you plant them now. I'm in zone 8b so I have to refrigerate things like tulips and crocus for 21 days and then plant them.

in the fall..early fall actually..6-8 weeks before the 1st frost..they have to go through that natural chilling process to bloom when spring comes..so honey you better get to plantin those beautiful bulbs ..good luck

Most of that information is on the bulb packages; tulips & daffodils are in September - Mid October, So I would say get those in now.
Right now (Autumn) is the perfect time for planting Spring-blooming flowers such as tulips, muscari and daffodils.
