Maybe put 1 bottle of red food color in a half gal of water n water it??? It works for carnations, but there not In the ground.. lol

I am assuming it has something to do with the acidity of the soil heaths and heathers like acid soil- you should check the soil acidity and balance as necessary

the color that the article is referring to is the foliage not the flower.It is most likely your soil that changed the flower color
