How can I care for a Christmas Cactus?
I got a 4" potted Christmas cactus from a neighbor and it had tiny pink buds on the ends of some of the 'branches' but I see that they are all falling off before opening. Can someone give advice on how to care for Christmas cactus? Thanks!

Make sure you do not over water the plant. Place in indirect sunlight, If there is a foil wrap on the pot remove it.
Thanks, Janet!
Janet gave you good advice. Good luck with your new baby.
thanks Sue---I don't do well with live plants---for its safety, I ought to find her a suitable home where she doesn't have to thrive on neglect! Deb
Debbie, here is my suggestion. If you have a smart phone, program an alert for once a week for the plant to water it. I know some people who water every Sunday. And though the link that I have added says to fertilize every other week program an alert for maybe the first of the month. For women who are in there lovely years of having a monthly period that is regular, it also makes a good reminder of time to fertilize, or in a friend of mines case, change her furnace filter or anything else that may need to be done about once a month. Otherwise put it on your calendar whether it is an online or written one.
