How can I kill bamboo and creeping jenny?

You are most welcome Linda. They are tough to get rid of but it can be done. We went the non chemical route as we had children and pets to consider, as well as local wildlife. My ex husband used to oversee commercial properties and would never let them use toxic chemicals unless there was absolutely no other option. One of the properties had ducks and swans and a few errant geese that took up residence and was a bit of a local attraction. Then one day the lead landscaper was not on site and one of the staff used something that killed off some of the wildlife. Everyone was livid. Heads rolled. It wasn't pretty. Anyway, for a myriad of reasons we will not use any glyphosate based products no matter who manufactures them. Takes a bit longer to go the natural route but I am sure the environment is better off in the long run. If you want to speed the process up, you can use agricultural strength vinegar, but the cost rises significantly and you run the risk of rendering the ground infertile for a substantial amount of time. Do your research, and do what is best for your situation.

Glyphosate is very polarizing. People are in 3 categories. For using Round Up or glyphosate based weed killers. Those vehemently opposed to using it. And those that are clueless either because they are not homeowners or land owners or just completely unaware because they don't watch the news or read any newspapers in print or on line.

That may very well be, but here in CA the lawsuits are piling up. Sprouting all over the country. Here is the clincher. You read the label and follow directions. 99% of John Q. Public doesn't and hence a little is good, a lot is better. Has also been banned almost world wide.

It's a personal choice, and people should at least be warned and use at their own risk. If I had small children, I would be up in arms as what might be considered "safe levels" for one person may not be for another. Add in the cumulative effect over a lifetime - where is the hidden closet full of actuaries calculating the risk for the "average" person? How many lives are "acceptable" casualties? Obviously I feel very strongly about this subject, and again, I would just want people to be aware and make the best choice for them. In the meantime, I won't be having bowls of glyphosate for breakfast.
