Why don't our pomegranate bushes grow pomegranates?

I have 3 Pomagranate bushes. We have had them for 8 or9 years. To this day we had blooms and Pomegranates and when it is Nov. we pick them open them up and they are yellow. We tried picking a month earlier, still yellow. We told the Nursery and they gave us two small ones thinking the one we had was ornamental and nothing. We tried to talk to them and had one with us, but they said they we too busy to talk and we could wait. I got mad and we left. Can you tell me why I don't get any Pomegranates to eat?

When we visited China, (Xian region, central China) we discovered that their pomegranates are YELLOW, not red like the ones we traditionally see in the US stores. Is is possible that you have a Chinese cultivar?Helpful Reply -
