Is late May too late to plant asparagus crowns?
If your ground is not frozen you can still plant them
i believe as long as it has not been 30degrees or below your good.
Hi JoEllen. As long as the ground isn't frozen you should be fine. Most bulbs need to be planted 6" deep.
As long as your ground is not frozen it should be ok now.
That depends on where you are. If you have had your first major frost, or the groun is partially frozen, yes If not, then they should be fine
As long as the ground is not frozen, you will be fine.
Check your zone and if it’s too late plant them in a pot and transplant in the spring. I cover mine with news paper and mulch.
I agree with the others. If the ground isn't frozen then you should still be able to plant them. Or if you're not sure you can put them in a pot with potting soil put them in your refrigerator over the winter just keep the soil moist and put them outside in the spring and they should sprout.
