Its not too late- because the ground doesn’t freeze for most Southern California gardeners, bulb-planting season is extended – but you still need to plan. First you have to learn which varieties and classes of bulbs are best for your area. Then you have to buy the bulbs when you see them (or order early from the mail-order houses) and figure out where each will go in your garden (keeping in mind that most will need sun to flourish). Have fun!
I live in the north Phoenix Arizona area and i planted some raniculus bulbs and they are coming up as long as plenty of moisture and I use a heavy cover of mulch to save on water and keep it moist.
You can plant them now.This way the bulbs will get nutrition for next year. Remember bulbs feed from foliage.Use a little Bone Meal
