If you are speaking of the grass, make sure it has medium height on lawn mower with a 5 min. Water after mow, and when watering do it at evening time around 6pm and early 5am summer hours. We live in Las Vegas. Winter time and day. -

St. Augustine grass must be mowed high and watered weekly. -

St. Augustine grass is what we call crab grass up North. We have a house in Florida and that grass is very popular. We set our sprinkler system for once a week, that is allowed by the town. It has to be mowed high because it's a grass that spreads on runners. Be sure to watch for grubs. We have Tru Green that takes care of the fertilization, weeds, and grubs.
