Miracle Gro? You can buy smaller packages of it.

To grow green peppers select a location that receives full sun, and prepare the soil with compost, manure and a traditional fertilizer. Space the peppers 18-24 inches apart in rows 24 to 36 inches apart. Green pepper plants require moist, but not over-saturated, soil. Water the plants regularly during the summer months to ensure adequate moisture.

Backfill the holes, and gently pat the soil around the roots to close air pockets. Water thoroughly to settle the soil, and mulch with straw, pine needles or compost to keep moisture in the ground and prevent weed growth. You can also add 1 Tbsp epsom salt to 1 gallon water and use this around peppers and tomatoes.

You can use grass clippings around the plants, just don't allow them to make contact with the stem. That being said, if the rest of the plants are doing well, your peppers just need a little more time. You don't state your location, but where I am in SC we were so wet I was considering water wings for my plants. We have had 3 dry days in a row and there is a new flush of leaves on my pepper plants, no peppers yet, not even flowers, but we are getting there. The weather has not be conducive to a good growing season so far.

Could something be eating at them? We get bunnies really bad and if I don't put something around them they don't grow well, or disappear all together

Try Superthrive. I use it and it does a terrific job with plants of any kind.

Thank you all for ideas and advice. Today I put some crushed egg shells and coffee grounds around them and mixed the Eason salt with water as BillieandRob suggested. I did notice some kind of insects were eating leaves so I powdered them with Diatomaceousus earth. Sure hope they start looking better. I did lose 2 plants also. By the way, I live in SW Michigan.
