Hi Ann. I'm Cindy. Some herbs that love full sun are parsley, basil, thyme, chives and sage. These are all great herbs to cook with. Best wishes.
What zone are you in?

Full sun at my house can easily be 120°. (Zone 9) My herbs get early morning sun and shaded in the afternoon. The herbs that can take full sun at my house are: chives, rosemary and lavender. The rest fry, even if in ground. I would need to tent them.
Here are some sites to help you out. Hopefully the sun is more forgiving where you reside.

It does depend on your zone, but most herbs prefer full sun. I'm in zone 7 and have TONS of basil, rosemary, oregano, sage, thyme and chives all doing very well.
