I have had roses for many years and the knockouts are the best!! They can be pruned at anytime. I have a row down the side of my sunroof under the windows. Anytime they get too tall, blocking the view, I cut them back. I try not to cut them while in full bloom. I have never lost one yet!! Good luck! I'm sure you will do fine!!
