According to experts, it is best to delay pruning a loropetalum until spring, after it has bloomed. you should trim them right after they flower - in New Orleans they do so around Mardi Gras time so now is good! be aware they grwo so fast it is hard to keep them small or medium - they get BIG - might be easier to prune out the lower growth & trim them up to be smallish 'trees'!Helpful Reply -
