I've planted most of my perennials in the spring, but that doesn't mean you can 't plant in the fall. I've read that it's preferable to plant in the spring because of the soil conditions. Once I've dug a hole, I add a little compost and organic fertilizer to the soil. Plant your new perennials, water adequately, but not soaking wet. Water regularly the first year. Good luck with your garden, I hope it brings you happiness and joy!

After the last frost and into the fall. Perennials have always done well for me anytime I plant them as long as they get water And the proper sun depending on the plant.

You can plant perennials any time of year, but the best times are spring and fall. Either of those gives the plant a headstart on becoming established in its new environment, and getting enough nutrients and water to carry it into the summer growing season, as well as the domancy of winter

It all depends on your planting ZONE and also if planting directly in your flowerbed or in pots and the kind of perennial you choose....FALL is good just for about everyone....
