Soon as the weather break before the leaves start growing -

Ours just turned brown after several nights below 40 degrees... (Phoinix, AZ) We will trim them back before they start to leaf out again in the spring -

After harvesting. Remove dead vines and fertilize -

We trim them in the fall. -

We always trimmed ours in late winter before any new growth, other wise they will bleed and the vine could.
