When should I prune my Clematis and Butterfly bushs?
My Clematis is looking bad, lots of dead leaves and no more flowers. The Butterfly bush still looks good but last year I lost my Butterfly bush to the wind so want to trim this one before the windy weather knocks it over.

Hi Margaret,
Clematis is a very durable plant, once it takes root and becomes well established it is hard to kill, we have so much of it I have been trying to kill it off for years.
