When should I prune my crepe myrtles?

We planted a crepe Myrtle in the fall. I’ve seen some already pruned. And I’ve also heard not to prune ever. What is the right thing to do with pruning crepe myrtles?

Depends on what kind of crepe myrtle you have as there are many varieties and where you live. If you google "crepe myrtle" on the Internet, there will be a lot of info and even videos available regarding their care and pruning. I would advise viewing and learning as much as you can for your type of crepe myrtle before doing anything to it that you might regret later.
I prune mine every year. They get bushier each time. I do it in the spring.
