Hi Sachin, It's not an easy question to answer. It depends very much on the size of the pots , how often you water them and type of plants you have in the pots. I normally add compost once a month to plants that get watered often, since the water will drain away some of the nutrients inside the compost each time you water. For plants that need less water, I'll only give them compost once a season

The simple answer is if you feel it needs topping up - top them up! Otherwise don't worry until it's time to repot up!
